1. It would make for an interesting post if i was to include short video's.
2. I could use them to study deer movement/reaction for future hunts.
3. I could also use it for reporting violations.
4. I could maybe make my own How-To video's which has been a thought.
There are a number of reasons, to many to list if you think of it. This camcorder you see is one I bought off a friend awhile back and really only used it a couple times. You can actually hold it in the palm of your hand (maybe that is why it is also called a palmcorder) so it is not that big. It can easily fit in a backpack.
It carries a small tape cartridge that looks like a mini vhs tape. Their not that expensive and their good for at least 30 minutes. I bought a three pack at CVS Pharmacy for just under $9.00.I haven't figured out how to transfer the tape over to video yet but I will.
You never know what you can catch on film, you just might surprise yourself.

Rick,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and being my very first "Follower! I really like your blog and I'm sorry that I haven't stopped by before.
You can check out Expert GPS by downloading the free version and giving it a try before you fork out the $50 bucks for the full software.
I like the camcorder idea. It could come in really handy. My camcorder died several years ago and I sure miss it but they are pricey to replace.

Cathy, thanks for stopping by. I am going to download that and see how it works form me. That is a great idea.
Camcorders are not all that expensive if you look in the right places. Foe me I got this one for $100. The guy I bought it from at bought it for x-mas only to find out that his parents bought the same one for him as a x-mas present.
Rick,
I would google up "Transfering Video to the computer" or something like. There is bound to be an add-on or something that will allow you to transfer video tape to digital.
