If you haven't noticed I have been struggling with writing lately. I know it is hard to believe but, my mind is slightly off track. I won't bore you with details so I am putting out a request though for idea's & suggestions for posts.
Right now I feel like Wile E. Coyote who is always getting his butt kicked but refuses to give up so any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Rick: A while back you were going to do a series on reloading with your new lee loader. I don't remember seeing anything on that.
Get in the woods, my man!!! I just got out of a slump myself. One morning of turkey hunting placed at least a dozen ideas in my mind. They've not all been winners - maybe none of them, but it's good to be thinking again!!! if you'd like, e-mail me a guest post about turkey hunting up there!!! Your last post for me was appreciated and well-received.
Ahhh, writer's block!
Rick I have suffered with that almost daily for years. I always say that only one in five of my posts is really any good, and only one out of twenty are really something to talk about.
Sometimes my friend, you just need to take a break. Find something, anything that catches your attention. Write an intro sentence or two, or failing that jot a few ideas down and create an outline. then don't worry about it for a while, let it mellow in the mind. Ideas will then start to flow!

Albert

Hey! Here's an Idea!
How about a bucket list of hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities that you would like to accomplish!
We could all participate and write our own idea of what would be in it.

Allen, I did a post back in October of 2009 - http://whitetailwoods.blogspot.com/2009/09/first-time-reloading-ammunition.html. That was the only one I did so far.
Ian, I know. I need to get out. Turkey season opens soon.
Albert, alot going on. Maybe a short break will help but sadly that doesn't sound like me. I like the idea of a bucket list for hunting, fishing and the outdoors so I think I will work on that. Thanks for the idea.
How about some hints for shooting rifles with pistol loads as we have to do here in Indiana.
I will second Albert's idea of a bucket list for two reasons. One- it's just plain ol' fun to do (I have one on my site) and two- writing them down moves them from the "dream state" and places them in "to do" mode. I find that now that I've wrote them down (and made them public) that I am more determined then ever to actually do them, not just dream them.
I also would suggest following Ian suggestion of getting out in the woods. It helps me a ton. Away from the keyboard and close to nature will certainly get the juices flowing!
Take care Rick. I'm rootin' for ya!

Wow-I'm surprised you're in a slump-I find myself wishing I could come up with as many fresh ideas as you do! Hard for me to suggest an idea-since I think you're doing a fabulous job-but what about some sort of survival tips-in case you get stuck in the woods? Or maybe what deer eat at different times of the year?
Brigid, that is new territory for me but I am willing to look into it.
Kari, ya I like that idea also.
Tipper, I guess eventually things catch up to you and bogs you down but I am working on it. Thanks.
Rick, What I usually do when I am starving for ideas is to sit down with a pen and paper and write anything that comes to mind. Even if it has no relation to my blog. I usually come up with a list of ten to twenty things and see if I can use any of them.
If that doesn't work then I will go through all of my old posts and see if there is anything I can expand on. Sometimes I even come up with new ideas when looking at old post.
Any way I hope that helps. Writers block sucks!
How about the effects of what deer eat on the taste of the meat. I deer with a sage diet is a little more to swallow than a corn and bean fed one!
Ben, thanks I will try that and see what I come up with.
Paul, that is interesting and will look into something like that, thanks.
