My 2010 Deer Hunting season comes to a Tagless end

Yup you heard it I didn't tag this year and that really !@#$% but, I am not going to let it get to me. I will scout and plan and research area's harder than before.

I'm on a mission that I chose to accept, after all that just means more fun enjoyable days doing what I love to do and that is study the Whitetail Deer.It was just a bad year from the start, I can see it now. But that is ok because I know what I need to do to make a better one.

Another fun and enjoyable part to that is I will be keeping you all informed on what's happening, what I'm finding out and hopefully so product reviews in there some where. So don't you fret cause I am determined.

Trey, that's why they call it hunting.

Tough year in MO for us too, so we feel your pain. Hopefully you were able to take some lessons out of this year. Sometimes rough years make better hunters :) -stephanie

I hear ya Rick. I only made it out a half dozen times. What I learned is "DON'T GET OLD"!!! I'm already looking foward to next year.

Hang in there Rick. at least you got out with ML in CT, I didn't get a single day in this year. Good thing I tagged in NJ. I am already planning my winter scouting list to check out some new spots and some old familiar spots from the past.

We've all been there, Rick. I only have a few days left, and I've yet to fill a tag as well. It's just a part of hunting.

Well Rick, you can rest with the knowledge that most of the country experienced less deer and sightings this year than most, and especially in New England. We did manage to tag a bunch but no decent bucks. And you are right! If it were easy they would call it shooting, not hunting! Best to you! Jack

Allen, you said don't get old? I agree 100% but I don't think we have anything to do about it.

Albert, I'm ready to go right now.

Passinthru, I've heard that a lot of us had a bad year so in a way it is good to know I was not alone.

Arthur, I sure hope you tag one.

Jack, nice to hear from you. All I can say is si it next season yet?

Sorry to hear about the tag soup Rick but it's nice to see you're already focusing on next year! Now that's the hunter spirit!

Kari, when it comes to deer hunting there is always spirit, it just doesn't show sometimes. HAHAHA

Sorry to hear you didn't make a connection with a deer this year.

Shotgun Season 1 & 2 have come and gone for me, tagless too. I shot once.

I will be looking forward to your posts on what you find in preparation for the next season.

CD, Don't you worry about that. I plan to have quite a few posts for the next season.
