Reburbishing Junk knives

Last weekend I had found a couple of knives that were thrown out at the local transfer station so I decided to take them and reburbish them back to life.

This first one is marked made in switzerland and was actually like 5" longer. i cut it down and forged a new tip. I still need to work on the edge but it does have a lot of potential to be a good knife, just needs a sheath.

this next one is in on the top in the photo is going to be a good skinning knife I think. All I have done to that one is sand down the handle which i am going to poly and then i plan to put on nice edge on it or at least attempt to put an edge on it. that one will need a sheath also.

I'm glad to see they're being put to use instead of wasted. Good for you!

Those knives look to have some real potential. I can't believe someone would just throw them out.

Making an old knife sharp and usable again is always a good thing. I hunt www.peartreegameranch.com for deer. I always need sharp knives, you can sharpen mine anytime, ha ha.
